Organization Mission The Bloomington/Monroe County Convention & Visitors Bureau is the official tourism destination marketing and management organization for Monroe County, Indiana. As a strong advocate of sustainable tourism and economic development, the MCCVB markets the county's natural and developed cultural, sports and recreation, historical, environmental, institutional and business attractions to meeting groups and various vacation travelers. With the positioning approach and theme of "Breakaway to Bloomington," the MCCVB prepares and implements research-based, and partnership-oriented marketing programs, including communications with potential domestic and international visitors and county residents, and encourages new tourism development projects.
